On Tuesday, the school went on the field to do athletics.
First, the school students said their house chants. After that, they marched around the field while saying their chants.
Next, the Year 5 went to discus. All of us had one practice shot so we knew what to do. If we didn’t know what to do, we just had a go at it.
Next, the 9 year olds went to vortex. The vortex glided through the air like a rocket. When it landed, it looked like an eagle catching its prey.
Finally, we ran the 100m sprint. The A team had to sit to the side while the B team was racing. The people I was racing were Dre, Rory and Flynn, and I was first.
I thought that the events were fun and I was amazed that I did so well.
Well done, River. You have used some pictures in the mind words like marched and racing. I especially like the way you have written your ideas in the 4th paragraph - The vortex glided through the air like a rocket. When it landed, it looked like an eagle catching its prey. Could you put words like that in your other paragraphs too?

ReplyDeleteI like the way you are doing the scissor movement over the high jump. You look like you have listened well to the teach to get the correct movement.
I like we way you said in your story, we just had a go at it. It is always good for us to try new things. I also like, "It looks like and eagle catching its prey." A great image.
